🍁Tips For Decorating For Fall 🍁

Summer is not quite over yet, but it's never too early to start thinking about redecorating. Fall is just around the corner and it always seems like it just doesn't last quite long enough. Fall decorations are among many peoples favorite decorations and you will want to start decorating as soon as possible to make the most of your Fall decorating. Today, your favorite condominiums at the Lake of the Ozarks has some Fall decorating ideas and tips for you!

Create an Inviting Entry Way

One of the easiest ways to create an inviting Fall entryway is to add a decorative Fall inspired wreath to your door. From pine cones, pumpkins, and autumn leaves, adding a gorgeous wreath to your front door is the perfect way to get your home looking like Fall in no time!

Get Creative with Existing Decore

When decorating for Fall you don't always have to purchase brand new decor to create a warm Fall feeling in your home. Considering using some of your existing decor and Fall accents for your decorations. Here are a few examples:

  • If you have vases in your home decor already, add some pine cones and fall flowers for the perfect Fall look.
  • Do you have candles in your existing decor? Add some twine or raffia around your candles to transform them into Fall decor
  • If you have a coffee table centerpiece that has a tray, get rid of everything on the tray and replace with pinecones, acorns, or Fall colored flowers.

Endless Pumpkin Crafts

Of course, what's Fall without incorporating pumpkins into your decor. There are endless ways to decorate with pumpkins that don't require carving.

  • Spray paint small pumpkins gold for accents
  • Use Mod Podge to attach lace, tissue paper, or fabric to small or large pumpkins
  •  Place small pumpkins in vases

Mums

Nothing says autumn more than a bunch of mums beautifully planted in front of your home. Mums are great for condos, as they do well when planted in pots. Whether you have them indoors or outdoors, they are the perfect way to add a pop of color. They are relatively easy to take care of, as they are a hardy fall plant. With the proper care, your mums could last many years in a pot.

Campfires, hayrides, and pumpkin spice will be here before you know it! It's the perfect time to start gathering up your Fall decorations so you are ready for the new season. When you live in a waterfront condo at the Lake of the Ozarks, you'll want to decorate your deck as well, so boaters can enjoy your seasonal decorations too. At Isla Del Sol, we love seeing the Lake transform into fall. If you want to join us in seeing the leaves change colors, call us today at 573-552-8418 to schedule a viewing of one of our gorgeous, Lake of the Ozarks waterfront condo.

4 Stereotypes About Condo Living: Debunked!

Having you been considering buying a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks but you have concerns about the lifestyle and logistics of living in a condominium? Often condominiums have a negative connotation in regards to space, privacy, etc.. Living in a luxury condo at the Lake of the Ozarks definitely has its perks! Don't allow stereotypical ideas about condos deter you from living in paradise at the Lake. Today, Isla Del Sol Condominiums would like to debunk 4 myths about living in a condominium, check it out!

1) Condos are only for first time home buyers.

While a condo is a great investment for someone buying their first home, you certainly do not have to be a first time home buying to own a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks. There are numerous situations that warrant the purchase of a condominium. In the Lake of the Ozarks area specifically, condos are a great purchase for retirees, investors, or for a second home living. Purchasing a condo for a vacation home is a great way to start building your retirement. Buying a second home early on allows you to invest in a retirement home for the future or build equity for future resell.

Aside from these reasons, a condo makes for a great home even for families! Your family will love the amenities at Isla Del Sol, such as our resort style pool! Our condos feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms which is the perfect size for raising a family.

2) I won't have any privacy in a condo.

While living in a condo is living in a community, this doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice your privacy. Our condos feature a spacious covered terrace to enjoy time outdoors. Every terrace has a panoramic view of the Lake and features a roof and walls for your privacy. Did we mention you will also be living on your own private island too?

3) There is not enough space in a condo and I will feel boxed in.

Sure, if you purchased a 500 sq. ft. condo, you may feel cramped up and not have enough space for your belongings. However, our condos are over 1,300 square feet and feature 9-foot ceilings. Trust us, you won't feel boxed in at our units.

4) I can't personalize my condo.

Just like purchasing any real estate, once you own the property it is yours to do what you want with. Living in a condo is nothing like living in an apartment. You have the freedom to make updates and paint walls however you choose. Adding paint to your condo is a great way to add a personal touch of your own style to your new home. Add in your favorite decor, light fixtures, furniture, and other accessories to make it your own.

So what are you waiting for? If you have been on the fence about purchasing a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks NOW is the perfect time to buy. Living in paradise and a life of luxury is all just steps away at Isla Del Sol. Still not convinced? Stop by our private island and take a tour of our model unit. We are open daily from 10 am to 4pm. We would be happy to show you around and you can see for yourself just how great living in a condo actually is!
