Is Condo Living At The Lake For You?

You have made the decision to stop renting and make a home purchase, but have you considered buying a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks instead? There are many benefits to owning a condo over a house. Isla Del Sol has created a list of benefits of condo living. Continue reading to see if condo living at the Lake of the Ozarks is for you:

1. No Yard Work

This is a big advantage to living in a condo. When you live in a condo community, there is no yard work that needs to be done because maintenance will take care of it. In the winter months, you will not have to worry about clearing snow off your driveway either, which can be a big plus.

2. No Building Maintenance

In addition to having no yard work, you will also not have to worry about the upkeep on the exterior of the building. When you own a home, you not only have to keep up the inside of your house, you also have to worry about the exterior of the home. This includes the siding, gutter systems and roofing. When you own a condo, maintenance will keep up the exterior of the building, so you only need to worry about the inside of your condo.

3. Sense of Community

Many homeowners would say that there is a sense of community in their neighborhood, and while that might be the case, when you live in a condo it is just a little bit different. In a neighborhood, you have relatively big yards separating everyone. Condo owners, on the other hand, live in much closer proximity. There are social moments that happen all throughout the day and a chance to get to know your neighbors in a way that you wouldn’t get to if you lived in a private home.

4. Extra Amenities

When you purchase a condo, you will be able to use the amenities. At Isla Del Sol, we have a beautiful lake side pool with fountains, pool side sun deck, dog walking area, available private storage lockers, ample resident parking, and boat docks and personal watercraft slips. Enjoy a nice summer day relaxing at the pool or take off on your boat and enjoy a day on the water!

Enjoy Private Island Living at the Lake of the Ozarks

Isla Del Sol is nestled in a unique setting surrounded by water, allowing the lake to come alive around you. Our units feature 9-foot ceilings, expansive outdoor balconies, kitchens with a breakfast bar and pantry, upgraded ceramic tile, fireplaces, walk-in closets, spacious laundry rooms with side by side washer and dryer hookups, modern lighting plans, luxurious master suites and much more! What to Pack for Your Trip to Your Second Home

If you have a second home at the Lake of the Ozarks, you may be curious as to what you need to bring with you when you visit, what you can buy when you get here and what can be kept at the home. Planning a vacation can be overwhelming and the last thing you want to do is leave something important behind. Isla del Sol, the premier island condo development at the Lake of the Ozarks, has created a list to make sure you enjoy your vacation and don’t forget anything you need.

What Can Be Kept at Your Second Home

Your vacation home should be stocked with the bare essentials. A set of towels, linens and kitchens items including: toaster, microwave, dishes, silverware and cookware, should all be kept at the vacation home. You do not want to be lugging a bunch of items you use all the time back and forth. Other items in the kitchen that can be left are spices, frozen foods and other items that have long expiration dates. A set of beach towels can also be left behind to ensure you do not accidentally leave them behind and to also lighten the load a bit. It is also a good idea to keep some cleaning supplies on hand, as well as some paper goods including: toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, tissues, etc. If you have pets, keeping some food and treats for them at the second home, as well as a pet bed, can also make the packing easier.

What Should Be Brought with You

Aside from clothes and toiletries, a majority of the items being brought will be food items that do not have to be refrigerated. If you don’t live far from your second home, you could also bring a cooler with dairy and other refrigerated food items. Packing to visit your vacation home is very different than packing to visit a hotel. Plan your meals ahead, so you will know what kitchen items you will need, if any, to bring from home. If you are having company come with you, make sure you bring enough towels and linens for them. Depending on what activities you plan to do on your trip, you may need to bring additional items as well, such as camping, hiking or water gear.

What Can Be Bought Here at the Lake

Some items you will want to buy once you reach your destination, which can help save space when packing. These items once again will most likely be food related. Depending on how far you are traveling to your vacation home, you will want to buy your refrigerated items such as milk and cheese upon arrival. You can also buy things you need to replenish after past stays, such as the toilet paper, paper towels, etc. mentioned above. It’s easier just to buy those items here than lug them from home and leave here.

Your Second Home at Isla Del Sol

Experience true lake living by purchasing a second home at the Lake of the Ozarks. Isla Del Sol is nestled in a unique setting surrounded by water; it is island living at its finest. Just a short drive down HWY W, Isla Del Sol is located on the coveted north shore on the 3 MM. There are lake views from every aspect of the island, but there is so much more to this island paradise. When you own a second home at the Lake, you can enjoy world class boating, golf, fishing, shopping and more anytime you want. Call 573-552-8418 or visit www.IslaDelSolLakeOzarks.com for more information about the only island condominium project at the Lake of the Ozarks.
