If you are having company come with you, make sure you bring enough towels and linens for them. Depending on what activities you plan to do on your trip, you may need to bring additional items as well, such as camping, hiking or water gear.

Some items you will want to buy once you reach your destination, which can help save space when packing. These items once again will most likely be food related. Depending on how far you are traveling to your vacation home, you will want to buy your refrigerated items such as milk and cheese upon arrival.
