Tips for Decorating Your Condo For Christmas!

If you've been waiting until the first of December to break out the Christmas decorations and get in the Christmas spirit, this weekend is your weekend to start decorating. If you live in a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks, sometimes you will need to get creative when you decorate for the holidays. Follow these tips to get your Lake of the Ozarks condominium beautifully decorated for the holiday season!

Window Ornaments

Garland and colorful, shiny ornaments hanging from the window are a creative, space-saving way to bring a little bit of the holidays into your home. When the sun is shining off the ornaments, it will have a beautiful reflection that dances around your condo.

Christmas Trees

You don't need to have a 7-foot Christmas tree to make it feel like the holidays. A great way to save a little space while decorating is to be a little creative with the size of your tree. From small tableside trees to trees made out of lights and hung on the wall, there are a lot of different things you can do to save space and still have it feel like the Christmas season.

Christmas Scents

An easy way to increase the holiday spirit in your condo is to make your home smell the like holidays. Add a few cinnamon sticks, four orange halves, one cup of fresh cranberries, two sprigs of rosemary to a large pot, cover with water and simmer. It won't take long for your home to start smelling like Christmas. If you want a longer lasting Christmas scent, you can also purchase potpourri and hide it in the corners of your home.

Don't Forget The Balcony

Don't forget the spacious outdoor balcony! Add a bit of holiday spirit outside by adding a small tree or outdoor lights to your balcony. If you use the same types of decor or color pallet, your balcony can feel like an extension of your interior.

Wreathes

Adding a wreath to your front door can make your guests feel extra welcome this season. It will also create flow from the outside of your condo to the inside. However, wreaths aren't just for your front door. Wreaths are very versatile. You can create smaller ones out of rosemary to place candles in, hang some on the back of dining room chairs or hang larger ones on your walls.

Less is More

Instead of trying to make your condo look like a complete winter wonderland, focus your decor in one area. Although it may be a more simple look, this will create a more spacious and relaxing holiday look.

Follow these tips and your condo at the Lake of the Ozarks will be looking festive and beautiful in no time! When you own a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks you will always have a beautiful place to celebrate the holidays. Isla Del Sol isn't just the perfect second home location, it is also a great place for full-time lake living. Christmas Decorating Tips For Your Condo!

Now that Thanksgiving has passed, it is time to start focusing on Christmas! If you live in a Lake of the Ozarks condo, sometimes you have to be a bit creative when decorating for the holidays. There are many fun ways to decorate your condo at the Lake of the Ozarks for the holidays and still have plenty of room for all of your friends and family.

1. Christmas Trees

You don't need to have a 7-foot Christmas tree to make it feel like the holidays. A great way to save a little space while decorating is to be a little creative with the size of your tree. From small table side trees to trees made out of lights and hung on the wall, there are a lot of different things you can do to save space and still have it feel like the Christmas season.

3. Window Ornaments

Garland and colorful, shiny ornaments hanging from the window are a creative, space-saving way to bring a little bit of the holidays into your home. When the sun is shining off the ornaments, it will have a beautiful reflection that dances around your condo.

4. Decorate Chairs

People need a place to sit, so why not have it be festive? Whether it is a holiday slip cover for your dining room table chairs or fun leg covers for your dining room table, decorating your chairs are a unique way to bring in the holiday spirit.

5. Use Your Walls

Avoid overcrowding your floor space and make use of your walls. Try hanging lights, images or other holiday decor on your walls. Such as before, a Christmas tree made out of lights and hung on your wall not only saves floor space, it's also a clever way to make your condo a little more festive. However, a Christmas tree made out of lights isn't the only way to make your walls festive. Hanging Christmas cards you received can also be a great way to show them off without cluttering your countertops.

6. Less is More

Instead of trying to make your condo look like a complete winter wonderland, focus your decor in one area. Although it may be a more simple look, this will create a more spacious and relaxing holiday look.

7. Don't Forget The Balcony

Don't forget the spacious outdoor balcony! Add a bit of holiday spirit outside by adding a small tree or outdoor lights to your balcony. If you use the same types of decor or color pallet, your balcony can feel like an extension of your interior.

8. Wreathes

Adding a wreath to your front door can make your guests feel extra welcome this season. It will also create flow from the outside of your condo to the inside. However, wreathes aren't just for your front door. Wreathes are very versitile. You can create smaller ones out of rosemary to place candles in, hang some on the back of dining room chairs or hang larger ones on your walls.

9. Spruce Up Doorways

Make transitions seemless by adding some decorations to doorways. Either drape garland or swag or hang ornaments and Christmas cards from the frames. This not only save space, it also adds a cozy look to your condo.

10. Add Color

Adding pops of color with accent pieces like pillows, vases or curtains is an easy way to bring in the holidays without overwhelming your space. If your base color scheme is neutral, then adding greens and reds into your space will be easy. In addition, if you have a neutral base, it will be easy to add pops of colors for other holidays like Halloween or Fourth of July.

Your Holiday Getaway!

With these tips, we hope that your Lake of the Ozarks condo can be a little bit more festive. When you own a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks, you will always have a place to spend the holidays. Isla Del Sol isn't jus the perfect second home location, it is also a great place for full-time lake living. Christmas Decorating Tips for Your Isla Del Sol Condo

Christmas is a beautiful time to decorate your Lake of the Ozarks' Condo living space! Christmas time presents an opportunity to decorate your interior with brilliant and flashy ornaments or even dark and earthy colors like you'd find on your Christmas tree. The most luxurious condo complex at Lake of the Ozarks has a few ideas to share when it comes to decorating your condo for this holiday season.

The Tree

Christmas is a time when most families decide to decorate a beautiful Christmas tree. Choosing how to decorate your tree is a personal venture, full of family traditions and personal flair. Do you choose a real tree or an artificial one with built-in lighting? We recommend trying to incorporate your tree's decoration into the rest of your home's winter decor - this helps draw guest's attention through your home and rest upon your beautifully crafted evergreen. If your tree is full of silver and gold ornaments, you could tie those colors into decorations found in bedrooms, on tables and resting on the mantle. Do you prefer red and green? A fun elf on the shelf or well-placed mistletoe adds a splash splashing color in any living environment.

The Mantle

Stockings hung above the fireplace are just the start - we want to use the full mantle to create a dynamic Christmas atmosphere. If you want a natural and rustic appearance, try an assortment of pine cones and long needle pine branches that flow just over the edges of the mantle. The deep green and brown colors could compliment a wreath hung just above the fireplace or some tarnished silver mantle decorations.

Table Space

Popular table decorations include plates full of unbroken walnuts, Christmas candles adorned with leafy greens or simple ornaments like small wooden sleighs. Do you prefer a Christmas full of glitter and gold? We recommend filling a glass jar with some holiday bells and placing a candle nearby to illuminate all the vibrant colors.

The best Christmas decorations aren't simply purchased and hung - they're crafted into a masterpiece found only in your living space. At the best waterfront condo complex at the Lake of the Ozarks, we're sure that by the time Christmas is over, your beautiful lakefront condo will be the topic of discussion amongst your friends and family. With your finishing touches, Christmas at Isla Del Sol transforms from a Lake of the Ozarks' paradise island condo to a winter wonderland fit for Santa himself.

Come back often to see all of the exciting things happening at
Isla Del Sol.
